Oficjalnego otwarcia XXVII DNI TYMBARKU dokonał Wójt Gminy Tymbark Paweł Ptaszek. Towarzyszyli mu: Wiesław Janczyk – poseł na Sejm RP, Jan Duda – poseł na Sejm RP, Grzegorz Biedroń – radny Sejmiku Małopolskiego, Jan Puchała – Starosta Limanowski, Mieczysław Uryga – Wicestarosta Limanowski, Włodzimierz Zieliński – przedstawiciel Zarządu TYMBARK , radni powiatowi Ewa Filipak i Czesław Kawalec oraz przedstawiciele miast partnerskich tj. Środy Śląskiej, Gizałek, Stawigudy, Brachstet (Niemcy), Spisskie Vlachy (Słowacja), Whaley Bridge (Wlk.Brytania).
Wójt życzył wszystkim dobrej zabawy. Złożył też podziękowania sponsorom, w szczególności firmie TYMBARK oraz tym dzięki którym ta impreza została zorganizowana czyli druhom OSP, służbom, Paniom z kół gospodyń wiejskich, pracownikom UG.
Do zgromadzonych zwrócili się Wiesław Janczyk, Jan Duda, Jan Puchała oraz przedstawiciele zaprzyjaźnionych gmin.
